Time to herald the face-off between Binibini 13 Mae Liezel Ramos and Binibini 24 Ann Lorraine Colis
Now where do I begin with this face-off?
The reason I asked that question is because Binibini 13 Mae Liezel Ramos could have easily won this match had she used her consistent fierceness last year and brought it to this year’s competition tinged with the sweeter evolution of her style and aura.
As it is right now, this becomes an easy win for Binibini 24 Ann Lorraine Colis who is gradually gaining the most-needed momentum one day at a time. She is picking up converts almost left and right. And at the rate she registered so positively to the audience during the Press Presentation, I wouldn’t be surprised if she actually brings it on till the March 15 finals.

But am I really throwing Mae Liezel under the mini-bus this early? Not at all. The girl must be listening intently to her handlers and she has, of late, been turning up the heat. I’m hoping that she catches up well. This year promises no guarantees whatsoever. And with the newbies escalating their potentials by the minute, this Bicolana needs to deliver exponential progress to level the playing field so she can really step up to the plate and hit a possible homerun if she wants to do one cut better than her placement last year.
One vote for Ann here. But I’m not giving up on Liezel just yet.
